Mexico FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Click on each of the frequently asked questions below to see the answers.  This list is hardly exhaustive, so please Contact Us with any other questions or concerns - we look forward to chatting with you!
When is the best season to get married in Mexico?
November to April. Get away from your winter and come enjoy the best weather in Mexico. The mountains are lush, the wind blows softly, the weather is clear and the temperature is perfect.
Is it cheaper to have a destination wedding?
Given the travel requirements, a lower percentage of your guest list will make the trip (compared to having a local wedding in your hometown) - and your headcount will be narrowed to the people you care about the most. This will help you stretch your budget to create a magnificent wedding for the same budget as having it at home with double the guests. Get ready for the most beautiful wedding of your dreams, free yourself from details, and leave it to us.
What type of dress code should a destination wedding have?
  • For the bride we suggest natural fabrics that let you breathe through.
  • For the groom and groomsmen looking for a casual approach we suggest guayaberas.
  • If a more formal approach is requested by the groom, we suggest light, breathable fabrics (cotton, linen, etc.).
  • For the bridesmaids we suggest a small, flirty, flowy dress.
  • For the guests we suggest beach chick dress code.
At what time is the sunset in Mexico?
It depends on the destination, time zone, and time of year...
In general, the sunset can range from as early as 5:00 pm (Cancun in December) to as late as 9:00 pm (Puerto Vallarta in June)
Can I get married in the church?
Yes, we will advise you of the requirements. The Catholic church has specific procedures, so please contact us for more information.
Can I have a civil wedding?
Yes, you would be married by Mexican Law. We can take care of all arrangements for you.
Can I have a spiritual wedding?
We will put you in touch with the best spiritual guide so he/she can lead a tailored ceremony to your needs.
Is Mexico safe for my guests?
Mexico is completely safe for you and your loved ones. The media tends to exaggerate and distort information. Enjoy a beautiful walk downtown, party with your friends until early in the morning, relax on the beach and feel secure and comfortable!
What about the Zika virus?
We suggest speaking with your health care provider about what risks there are and what precautions need to be taken. Current information from the CDC can be found here: http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices/alert/zika-virus-mexico
